		<description><![CDATA[So glad to find this post. I&#039;ve lived in the Bahamas for about 10 years now, and snack on the delicious, tart Gooseberries quite often. A friend recently gave me a big bag of the yummy little things because she thought I might be able to use them in my home-brewed Mead. On a whim I threw several cups of the fresh berries into my tiny crockpot with a half cup of honey that had crystalized and put it on low overnight. Um, &quot;surprised&quot; was an understatement when I opened the pot in the morning and they&#039;d turned RED! After popping what tasted like a &quot;baby cherry pie&quot; (only better) in my mouth and sipping the garnet coloured juice I realized this would be perfect for...everything. So glad to see that it is normal for them to turn red. lol.]]></description>
